Code of Conduct
The Therkildsen Lab is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming, supportive, and harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic status, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religious affiliation. We expect all lab members and visitors to support this goal, and to treat each other, our collaborators, and university staff with courtesy and respect at all times. We do not tolerate discriminatory or demeaning behavior or harassment in any form. All communication – online and in person – should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is generally not appropriate in the lab setting, except when directly related to the reproductive biology of the organisms we study.
If you experience a violation of this code of conduct, please contact Nina who will take appropriate enforcement action (you can contact her anonymously with a note in her mailbox). If Nina’s behavior is the cause of concern, she would value your direct feedback, or you can contact the Department HR representative Sarah Gould at [email protected].
